If it's the same account as this one then you probably have to take the long way there. In the Y!Main Page, click on your screen name...re-enter your password, and on the next page click on mail on the right hand side of the page.

I have another yahoo id and i am unable to login. Can login to YIM. Email times out.?
When i try to login to yahoo mail, i get the following.
The connection has timed out
The server at us.f395.mail.yahoo.com is taking too long to respond.
* The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
moments.
* If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
connection.
* If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.
On the very same IE/Firefox session, i can login using another yahoo id without any issues.
I can login to YIM and chat. However, when i try to access my mailbox it timesout.
Any thoughts?

Thousands are having all kinds of problems with their mail since the new format, with Server Farm issues with Original Mail AND Beta Mail, several months ago!
Yahoo! and Sun Java are also having conflicts. Rather than trying to work around them, here is the easy and fastest way to cure them (for most). Go to Tools, open Internet Options, and select Advance tab. Scroll down the list and see if you have Microsoft Virtual Machine listed, if so, uncheck the 2 java隆炉s listed. Make sure JIT is checked, click apply then ok. and then Close. This lets MSN virtual machine launch Yahoo! mail.

Also: you will have less problems with Mail if you sign in via Messenger! Go to preferences, general, then check box: Automatically sign me in when I click a Yahoo! link in Messenger. Then click on the little envelope icon on top of messenger box. Or go to My Yahoo and click on your mail link. Or click on the Big RED Y! on the Yahoo! Toolbar. Bottom line is any link that already has you signed in!!!
I recommend that you use Original Mail until beta works out the bugs. Just click on Switch Back on the top of your mail page. FYI, beta means TESTING. Go back to IE6 which works just fine and is problem free. It is still installed on your pc. Just go to Start, setting, and add/remove programs and delete IE7. If you are using Yahoo Mail Plus, and your server farm has problems, switch to the free service until things are worked out.
NOTE: Use beta software at your own risk; it is intended for testing and evaluation purposes only. Do not install beta software on your primary computer or production environment.
You may also need to update your Windows.

I already seen several names and Addresses that gave me the idea it is happening in India. I'm like you a user of Yahoo, I don't work for Yahoo. I also don't know whether the problem only exists in India or that more countries experience the same problem.

If you have the New Yahoo Mail with chat and the desktop Yahoo Messenger, you cannot be signed in to both.
When Yahoo detects that you鈥檙e already signed into Yahoo Mail with chat and you sign in to your Messenger on your desktop, Yahoo will disconnect you. That鈥檚 why you get that message that you are signed in to another computer.
You must disable chat in your Yahoo Mail if you want to use your desktop Messenger, by doing the following:
See the smiley face next to your user name at the top of the mail page? Click it 鈥?then click Sign out of chat. (If you never signed in, the face is gray and sleeping...meaning you're already signed out/disabled.)
Since Yahoo! Mail remembers your settings from session to session, you'll be signed out of chat until you change it.

Why am i prompted to login when i use hyperlinks at websites where i am trying to "contact"/email that website
I've had this trouble before w/an MSN account, but never w/yahoo...and it seems to be a fairly recent issue. i am on a website, say for a a band, and i want to email them, so i hit their "contact us" link and instead of an email window popping up, like i'm used to, i am prompted to RE-login to yahoo. what happened to change my email settings? and how do i fix it? i'm no computer wiz, so i need simple, clear instructions. thanks!
