L got a email from a customer care of yahoo asking for my email information login name pass etc is this real?

Hello,

Yahoo Customer Care will ask ONLY for your user ID when you are appealing for a Violation in Yahoo Answers. They will not ask for your password.

Give your user ID to customer care ONLY if you are appealing for a Violation. Never give your Password to any body. They do not need it. If you are new to Yahoo Answers, do not give your user ID too.

All the Best.

DON'T REPLY. That mail is not from Yahoo.
Reply:NO! Do not reply to it! It is a Phishing Scam! Please look up Phishing on wikipedia if you don't understand.
Reply:i know for a fact that not the way its done ,if the question were asked ;you would be requested to verify certain information ,like when one has to type in username and password. since you already filled out your info ,the web site wouldnt asked you that same info ,as i said you would be asked to verify what they already have on file.
Reply:If you've received an email claiming to be from Yahoo! that asks for your password or other private information, you've likely received a "phishing" email. These emails typically contain links that appear to go to a Yahoo! site but actually link to a fake, or "spoofed" Yahoo site.

If you are uncertain about any "official" email you've received, do not click on any links in the email. The safest way to visit a website is to type the site's address directly in the address bar of your web browser.

No Yahoo! employee will ever ask you for your password or personal information in an unsolicited phone call or email message. Learn how to report a phishing email to Yahoo! here. To learn more about phishing, please visit the Yahoo! Security Center.
