Just go to My account (The link is there on the mail page right side or left side(depending upon the service you use : Yahoo Mail or Yahoo Mail Beta)).There just change your name by clicking edit in the 'Address/Contact Information' column and change your name .
My email login screen welcomes a friends name, not mine- how to I get it to say %26gt;my%26lt; name on the emails?
In options on the mail page enter account info. Click edit listing then the edit tab for name and location. Change it there save and finish.
Reply:That screen should welcome whoever's name is in your "My Account" information. Go to the "My Account" link (you'll see it at the top of this page, next to "sign out" and the bottom section of the page where it lists "address and contact information" is where you click 'edit' and change the name on your account.

Reply:Changing the name on your account (which you should definitely do)---- WON'T change the name on your mail------but this will.
On mail page, click "options"--then click "general preferences". At the top of that page you can change the way the name appears on the "from" line of your mail. Make it anything you wish and then click "save" at bottom of page.
For Beta mail---go to mail page%26gt;%26gt;options%26gt;%26gt; contact options%26gt;%26gt;mail%26gt;%26gt;general preferences. Change it and save it.
