Reply:This is a problem at the Yahoo server side. I believe users with localized yahoo domains are facing this issue (yahoo.co.in, .co.sg etc) yahoo.com ids are unaffected. The problem seems to have occurred when yahoo opened the call for duty downloads on its gaming website. It could also be because yahoo is in the process of migrating server farms to the new yahoo mail interface. Something might have gone wrong there. It has persisted for more than 24 hours now. But rest assured, your emails are not lost and your password has not been stolen.
I use pop3 server for accessing mails and even that is not working. Unfortunately, the address for that too ends in .CO.IN.
I dont think you and me can do anything for the time being as the root servers have been affected. The only thing that you COULD have done is to have set up an automatic forwarding to some other account. If that hasn't been done , then I guess you are as stuck as me.
Reply:Click on Switch Back if you are using Beta version. If doesn't do it, open another browser window if you are using IE. Go to Firefox (www.mozilla.com) or Opera. Course you will have to download first, then install.

I cannot login to Yahoo beta email?
A month ago or so I was experiencing similar problems. I tried every answer people had posted and nothing worked. I had cleared the cache and history, booted into SafeMode with networking to clear all temp files and still couldn't fix the problem.
Because Yahoo Mail Beta is beta software (almost but not quite ready for prime time) they help very little with it. Beta software is basically in testing mode. I'm sure Yahoo is using Answers to guage how well the software is working. Many people post their issues here so they get a good bug report of the software. But, since it is Beta, they have no solutions. They will simply try to fix these bugs when Beta goes into production for everyone.
With all of that said, last month I finally had a chance to switch back to the original version and all is fine now. You cannot change back to the original w/o accessing beta first. I had to do it late at night when Beta was fully working for me at home to find the link to switch back. The link is there AFTER you successfully login to your Beta account.
There is a site you can access to check your Beta mail if you keep getting Page Not Displayed or a blank screen. It is basically text only, but at least you can check your mail. Here is the link: http://wap.oa.yahoo.com
Oh yes, for all of the people pasting that Yahoo phone number for support, it does cost $29.95 to speak to a live person!

A member phoned Yahoo! on 11-28-06 and was told this: "We are still working on the bugs of the Yahoo! Beta Mail. The "Session Expired" issue is what we are working on at present".
Thousands are having many different problems with their mail as there are still glitchs that Yahoo! hasn't gotten fixed yet in their new format.
This applies to almost all areas of mail (including signing in, composing, receiving, sending, attachments, photos etc.), messenger, original and beta mail, and search problems, for the last few weeks.
I found this in What's New In Mail:
We鈥檙e wrapping up a few remaining compatibility issues between Yahoo! Mail Beta and the new Microsoft Internet Explorer 7
I suppose everybody knows, BETA means=TESTING?
So, it seems we have to uninstall these two things or try to work around them until they finish wrapping things up.
This is the # 1 way most are GETTING IN MAIL now that I know of for sure:

Make sure your screen resolution is 1024 by 768 pixels. Right click on your desktop, click Properties, click the "Settings" tab, left click and hold on the screen resolution bar and drag it all the way to the right, click Apply and click OK

Myspace not validating my email, loops me back to the login..Any suggestions?
Mine was doing that one day and it turned out my IE had updated itself and I had to re-add myspace.com to the allowed websites in the security section. It was not accepting cookies or something like that.
I've also had it not accept my log in when I've tried to use the incorrect password and also when I have tried to just hit "enter" instead of clicking on the submit button.
And last, but not least, it has done it when myspace.com is going through their own updates. Usually if I wait an hour or so, it will then go through without any problem.

Ever since yahoo had a problem back about 1.5 yrs ago with banning chat users by mistake after updating server software. I am still unable to enter any chatroom although i can still get into email. The 2 account id's are main id rough_edges2001 and berriroyal. I have been sending emails every month since then with the automated response of we are aware of the problem and will be resolved asap. I would like to actually contact a human and find out what is the big deal about fixing the accounts i have done nothing wrong. A reply would be appreciated. Thank-You

I'm using Mac OS X 10.4.6, on a Powerbook 17 inch 10.5 Ghz.
I've used Firefox 1.5.0.1 for the last half a year~ and it's been great, until all-of-a-sudden I wasn't able to login to my Yahoo Email account - I was able to type my login info, but when I pressed Sign in/Enter - nothing happened. Anyone got a clue? (On Safari there's no problem,,,)

Try going to Firefox preferences and click on the advanced tab and clear your browsing history. To my knowledge, you can't reset Firefox like you can Safari, but maybe there's a glitch in your history (saved passwords, etc) that need to be cleared and re-entered.

Worst-case scenario, reinstall Firefox.

What should I do? I had contacted Yahoo Customer Service several times and their reply was all the same thing and it didn't help me much. I'm from Malaysia and for sure it will cost a lot if I want to make a call to US. I really need to log in into this account because I'm waiting for the reply of my scholarship which I expected will be announce this few weeks. Is it possible if I asked someone to hack my own account? I don't think it will be a good idea because I have a lot of personal information stored inside. Firefox is unable to login to yahoo email.?
I've cleared my cookies and cache, etc. Firefox is unable to login to yahoo mail - a login password error is received. When using Internet Explorer, the error does not appear and I am able to log in as desired.
The login I use is at: https://login.yahoo.com/config/login_ver...
I'm able to login at other areas of the site, but I'm not able to access my email without going through the above screen.
Any help is appreciated.
This problem was going on with my last version (2.0.4 i believe) as well as my updated version (3.0).
Extensions installed:
AVG Safe Search (Not compatible with Firefox 3.0, so disabled)
Plugins installed:

* Default Plug-in
* Adobe PDF Plug-In For Firefox and Netscape
* Java Plug-in 1.6.0_05 for Netscape Navigator (DLL Helper)

I use Windows Vista Business (IE 7) and it used to log me in automatically to all websites which require id and password (after I did this once myself). A small window used to pop up with a question "Do you want IE to automate your logon to this website?" (or smth like that) and pressed 'yes' and that was it, I never had to retype id's or passwords while logging in to mailbox, online chats, databases etc. Now this function is somehow gone and I fail to restore it.

Most everyone on Yahoo Mail Beta is having similar problems. I am too during the day! I have cleared the cache and history, booted into SafeMode with networking, cleared all temp files and still cannot fix the problem.
This is a definite Yahoo issue and they are not providing any info as to why so many are having the problem.
I suggest switching back to the original version. You cannot change back to the original w/o accessing beta first. It works at night. Log in then to use the Switch Back link everyone answers about.

Can't login on Tiscali Email or Account?
For some random reason I cannot login on my Tiscali account area or email. The usernames and passwords are the same for both. I have to use my user and password to connect to the internet so I know the user and password is correct. I have tried loggging in on 4 computers with 3 different web browsers accepting all cookies etc. Still I get the error, "invalid user name and password". I have tried everything I'm sure.
What makes me even more confused, if I click "Upgrade account", I can change my package but still cannot get into my account.

The guys that work in the Yahoo suite have told me that the power outage caused huge technical problems and they only recently brought all services back online. There was also a brief power outage on Friday, although I'm not sure to what extent or duration this affected their operations. How do I know this you ask? I work in the same building and have had to suffer the same problems!

if its ur account but another computer, it still should work. otherwise somethins wrong, it blocked or the system wont work on the comp. make sure everything is ok on it first.

You have Hotmail (or MSN) set as your default e-mail provider on your computer.
Either change your default to the e-mail provider that you actually use or contact Microsoft / Hotmail and see if they can help you recover your password.

How long does it take for an email ID to expire if you don't login? Do mails sent to such IDs bounce back?
It takes 4 months for before your account is deactivated due to inactivity. Once an account is closed then e-mails will start bouncing back.

Server Farm incompatibility is usually the problem.
Thousands are having many different problems with their e-mail.

Yahoo! is wrapping up a few remaining compatibility issues between Yahoo! Mail Beta (beta testing lasts for at least 6 months!!!) and the new Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.
1. You will have less problems with original mail if you sign in via Messenger! Go to preferences, general, then check box: Automatically sign me in when I click a Yahoo! link in Messenger. Or go to My Yahoo and click on your mail link. Or Click on the Big RED Y! on the Yahoo! Toolbar. Bottom line is any link that already has you signed in!!!
2. If you have Beta Mail, it wouldn't let me in so I went to beta help and it said to click on my toolbar mail icon. So I did and it worked!
3. This has worked for a lot of people per: their feedback to me.
http://wap.oa.yahoo.com/ can be used to sign into Yahoo!, then put yahoo back into the address bar and hit go. It will take you back to Yahoo! and you can open mail normally. Otherwise, you can open mail in wap, but it is blind. I had to go through wap each time I logged in.
4. BETA means TESTING!!!
So, it seems we have to stop using these two programs (if you installed them) or try to work around them until they finish wrapping things up. Your IE6 is still installed, so you just have to go to: Start, settings/control panel, add/remove programs and delete IE7. For Beta mail you only have to use the switch back option located in your mail inbox.Also, where you sign in by clicking on: Are you having trouble?.

Trying to circumvent the problem, I went to My Yahoo where I can see the email message headers, but when I click on one to try to read it, it goes to the same blank, white page and says "done" at the bottom. I've been having the same problem, but when I click on the "re-login" link, it goes directly back to my mail home without needing me to login again. I've emailed and complained to Yahoo! about it since I followed all of their instructions. Log out of all Yahoo sites.
Go to this site:

That should put you into a login screen. Login, and it will then put you into the Beta introductory offer.
Click "No thanks, remind me later" and that should get your account to revert back to Yahoo Mail "classic".
As Yahoo will seemingly never admit to the problem, you should probably continue to monitor this Answers group and revert back to Beta only after you see all the complaints go away.

It should have questions there that you set up and you answer the questions and they reset your password (you will need another account the can email it to then when you get in, you reset your password to what you want. I would go in and create a second yahoo account so that they can email you password there. I wouldn't try calling again, seems pointless but this is the best bet.
