I am not able to login to my email account although i am able to login to my yahoo and to other services.?
Most everyone on Yahoo Mail Beta is having similar problems. I am too during the day! I have cleared the cache and history, booted into SafeMode with networking, cleared all temp files and still cannot fix the problem.
This is a definite Yahoo issue and they are not providing any info as to why so many are having the problem.
I suggest switching back to the original version. You cannot change back to the original w/o accessing beta first. It works at night. Log in then to use the Switch Back link everyone answers about.
There is a site you can access to check your Beta mail if you keep getting Page Not Displayed or a blank screen. It is crued and text only, but you at least you can check your mail. Here is the link: http://wap.oa.yahoo.com
Oh yes, for all of the people pasting that Yahoo phone number for support, it does cost $29.95 to speak to a live person!
Reply:I'm having the same problem as of a few days ago! Tried running spyware/adware scans, virus scans, resetting IE and Firefox...even a fresh installation of Windows XP!!
any ideas anyone?? I couldn't find anything useful on the net! Any response from Yahoo?? I really need to get to my e-mail...don't we all!!
Reply:I am also experiencing the same issue that you are facing. I can access to every available feature in yahoo except the mail box on my laptop. I have tried it with Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox and both give the same error. I do not experience any problem with hotmail etc..
I can see the address book in yahoo mail but when i click mail box the same error you are seeing appears in mine. I also would like to know how to resolve this issue.
Reply:I have been having the same problem. For over a week now, I am completely cut off from my Yahoo Mail. I have tried accessing YM from several different computers, both IE7, IE6 and Firefox. From reading other peoples' postings, I suspect it is a problem with the beta version. I have no way to switch back to the previous version (without first going back to the beta). My local Yahoo support has suggested clearing cookies, temporary files, etc. But these measures didn't work. Before I re-install IE (as the last resort suggested), I tried through other computers - without success. I concluded that it is not the problem of the IE on my particular PC. I wonder whether the authority should now come up and address on this worldwide trouble. I'm not sure if any media is starting to report on this problem. It will hurt the credit of Yahoo. Please act fast.
Reply:Check your user name and password input!
Reply:Same here, i can connect to my account, but can't see my mail :s,
even tryed the pop3 server and didn't work out.
Reply:I have been having the same problem for around 5 days now. I am completely upset, and have contacted yahoo more than once, with absolutely no reply, so I hope they get on it right away!
There are many other people who are having the same problem too.
Reply:Try following steps to switch to classic version:
1. Go to "New Yahoo! Mail Beta" URL http://mrd.mail.yahoo.com/dc/landing...
2. Type in your yahoo username and password.
3. Now click on link "No thanks, remind me later". You will be in your yahoo mail box.
4. Now you can login into classic version and access your yahoo mail.
