I have been asked to confirm my login details user name,p/word DOB, & alt email address Is this Legitimate?

If you have had a email asking for your password It's a scam. Yahoo! would never request personal information in an unsolicited email. "Phishing" for your private information These deceptive emails are used to commit identity theft, and lock you out of your yahoo account by changing your password DO NOT respond. See what yahoo say about this with link below.

if you got an email telling you to do that, DON'T click the link or enter any personal information it's called Phishing. instead type the site (for example yahoo or your bank) and log in that way and search the site for contact us, or security and find where they want phishing emails forwarded to them so they can do whatever they have to do to stop crooks from stealing identities, passwords etc.

NOTE*** NEVER click on a link in an email especially if it asks for you to do so in order for you to log in or provide personal info.
Reply:No I don't think so. As far as I know, noone legitimate asks for your details. Did you get an email asking you to do this? If so, It's definitely a scam.
Reply:It is a SCAM just hit the delete button. Never give out your personal info. Yahoo will never ask you for your personal info. It is a phishing scam. Hope this helps!!!
