myspace doesn't need verification on your email, but if you forgot your password, how will you get it if you have an email like abc@myspace.com???

then you have to retrieve it over the myspace.com also. on the first place, where did you created your account? like for example, when you register yourself at friendster then you will use the yahoo mail to register yourself at friendster, so of course, retrieving the password will be done over yahoo and not at friendster. that is only am guessing too about myspace, though.
